Ball-end brackets and socket-end brackets are widely used connecting fittings in electrical equipment, primarily employed for connecting insulators with other power equipment. Below is a brief description of each:
Structure and Function: One end features a socket-shaped structure designed to connect with the spherical head of an insulator's steel foot. The opposite end has either a clevis-type connection or other forms adapted to specific requirements, allowing it to be attached to tension clamps, suspension clamps, and similar components for securing the insulator to conductors or ground wires.
Application Scenarios: Primarily used to connect the steel foot at the bottom of ball-and-socket insulators. When connecting a single-section suspension insulator string to a suspension clamp or a single-section tension insulator string to a tension clamp, socket-type suspension plates of appropriate length and design should be selected according to the specific line requirements.
