Insulator steel feet are a critical component of insulators, playing a vital role in power transmission lines by connecting the insulators to towers and conductors, thereby ensuring the stable operation of the power system.

Materials and Processes:

Forged from high-quality carbon steel (e.g., Q235 steel) or alloy steel, these brackets exhibit high strength and excellent toughness, capable of withstanding the weight of insulators and conductors, as well as external forces such as wind loads.

The surface is typically hot-dip galvanized, forming a dense zinc coating that effectively resists atmospheric and electrochemical corrosion, thereby extending the service life under harsh outdoor operating conditions.

Structure and Function:

The design meets the assembly requirements of insulators: one end features a threaded connection for secure attachment to the cement section of the insulator; the opposite end is equipped with a suspension ring or other connecting mechanism to link with tower supports, conductors, and other components, thereby securing the insulator and facilitating power transmission.

Its primary function is to transfer mechanical loads, transmitting tensile and compressive forces from the insulator to the tower structure. Simultaneously, it ensures the retention of electrical insulation properties between the insulator and external components, thereby maintaining the reliability of the power system's insulation.

Application Scenarios:

Primarily used in disc suspension insulators and pin-type insulators for high-voltage power transmission lines, these components are indispensable in the construction and maintenance of power facilities, including urban and rural grid systems, transmission line supports, and other electrical infrastructure. They serve as critical elements in ensuring the insulation performance and mechanical stability of power lines.
