TH suspension clamps are a type of fastener used in overhead power transmission lines. They are primarily used to secure conductors to insulator strings on straight supports or suspend lightning conductors on straight supports. They can also be used to support cross conductors on cross supports and fasten jumpers on tension tower supports.
U-shaped suspension ring: Connects the support to the suspension plate, ensuring reliable fixation of the clamp to the support. Its shape is designed based on mechanical principles to withstand significant tensile forces.
Suspension plate: Serves as a point for load transmission and distribution, ensuring the stability of the entire system.
Clamp body: Directly grips the conductor. Usually made of high-strength aluminum alloy, it provides sufficient strength with minimal weight.
Rubber gasket: Located between the conductor and the clamp body to prevent direct metal-to-metal contact. It provides shock absorption, slip resistance, and wear protection, effectively safeguarding the conductor.
By Grip Characteristics:Classified into fixed grip type, sliding grip type (with detachable design), and limited grip type. Fixed grip types have only a specific minimum grip force. Sliding grip types have only a specific maximum grip force. Limited grip types have both a specific minimum and maximum grip force.
By Structure:Include central hinge type, pocket type, suspension type, and pre-twisted type.
